2N3906 is a commonly used PNP bipolar junction transistor (BJT). It is designed for general purpose amplifier and switching applications.

1. How can I test a 2N3906 transistor to see if it is working properly?
To test a 2N3906 transistor, you can use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the base and the emitter and between the base and the collector. If the resistance between the base and the emitter is low and the resistance between the base and the collector is high, the transistor is working properly.

You can also test the transistor's current gain by measuring the current flowing through the collector when a small current is applied to the base. The current gain should be close to the transistor's specified value.
